چکیده

Background: Vascular leiomyosarcoma is a rare but most common vascular tumor of the inferior vena cava.Case presentation: We present case an incidentally diagnosed extraluminal cava in 62 year old patient who presented with abdominal pain following blunt trauma. Ultrasonography showed lobulated hypoechoic lesion upper abdomen. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) circumscribed near homogeneously enhancing retroperitoneal anterior relation to infrarenal cava, right paramedian location imperceptible caval lumen at site maximum contact. In positron emission (PET) CT mild fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake no distant metastases. guided biopsy immunohistochemical analysis leiomyosarcoma. Patient underwent surgical resection reconstruction. Conclusions: Leiomyosarcoma origin. Imaging plays imperative role diagnosis preoperative evaluation. This article also provides comprehensive literature review radiological features that would aid optimal characterization
